8/31: Sometimes You Feel Like a Nutini

Be swooned, be cultured or be full

NUTINI AND IMPROVED: John Mayer, Ben Harper, Raffi. We love us some male singer-songwriters. Add Paolo Nutini to that list. The indie/folk singer hails from Scotland, has opened for the likes of the Rolling Stones and Led Zepplin, and is a sitcom darling - Scrubs, One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy have all played his tunes. Check out his music video featuring a man in a bunny suit, then head to the Culture Room, where he'll be performing tonight. Doors at 7:30 P.M.

OPA!: Craving a little taste of Greece? Ariston Restaurant in Miami Beach is offering a $34.95-for-two deal Monday through Thursday until December 17, which includes: choice of Greek salad, dip of the day with pita bread, or soup; grilled chicken or lamb shish kebab or moussaka or shrimp casserole over rice pilaf; and baklava or tart of the day. Add a glass of beer or house wine for $3.95.

OH, CANADA: We would list all our favorite things that have come out of Saskatchewan here, but, um, there aren't any. Until now! Abstract expressionist painter Agnes Martin was from the remote area - we like to picture lots of cold, dense woods with bears and log cabins - and now you can learn all about her life's work in the documentary "Agnes Martin: With My Back to the World," which will be screening at The Standard tonight. 8 P.M.
