9/26: We're Too Sexy for Our Saturday

'80s fashion, mockingbirds, and rhythm

ON THE CATWALK: Yes, we all make fun of the crazy, illogical '80s style, but deep down, we can't deny our love for those 'dos (and the tons of Aqua Net used to keep them up). Travel back in time to the style that defined a decade at the Vagabond for the "We were Born in the 80's," fashion show. We can practically smell the aerosol from here. 11 P.M.

BRAVE NEW WORLD: We love us some bassoon. But much to our dismay, the first concert of the New World Symphony's Friends of the NWS series is sold out. All hope is not lost, though -- tickets, which can be purchased at the Lincoln Theater box office before intermission, are still available for the afterparty at the W Hotel, where there will be a live jazz performance, open bar and nibbles. 9:30 P.M.-midnight.

BUY ME A MOCKINGBIRD: The Spa at Icon Brickell will be screening the movie adaptation of Harper Lee's famous book, "To Kill a Mockingbird," which tells about two kids growing up in the still prejudiced decade of the 1930s. Admission is $12, and includes a gourmet cupcake and popcorn. Yummy. 7:30 P.M.

MEET US ON THE DANCE FLOOR: Boogie on over to the Key Biscayne Beach Club for the Rhythm Foundation's dance party fundraiser. Not only will DJ Le Spam and the Spam All Stars rock the funky beat, but there will also be a silent auction. Prizes include vacations (yes, more than one), Saks Fifth Avenue beauty baskets, cognac, ski rentals, signed collectibles, and much more. Admission is $100, which includes dinner, open bar and an annual Rhythm Foundation membership. Purchase your ticket online or by phone at 305-672-5202. 7:30 P.M.
