The highly anticipated Miami Spa Month returns to pamper hard working Miamians with a day to spare.

"Because Miami is a location for petty people [spa month-goers] want to come in and take care of themselves. They wouldn’t indulge as much at home," said Lucy Livingston, spa director at Spa V.

Manis, pedis, massages, and facials tailored to men and women are just the beginning of Miami’s Spa Month, organized by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau. In its third year, Spa Month includes only the city’s top luxury spas, offering $99 treatments. With programs such as Spa Month and the success of Miami Spice, the Bureau has been very successful at enticing visitors and locals alike to spend some money.

“It’s been very successful and it continues to grow. Customers and locals look forward to it and make plans around it,” said Bureau president and CEO William Talbert.

Don’t let the title deceive. Spa goers have a full 60 days to go, and go again, as the deal deal lasts through August 30th. With six new spas to add to the list, there are plenty of deals to take advantage of.  With dozens of options to choose from, it's important to do a little homework to get the most bang for your buck.

So as the stress lines emerge on your forehead, accompanied by pulsating veins, take a moment, pick up the phone and  reserve a little piece of heaven.

Spa V at Hotel Victor, a returning participant, is bringing back its three most popular services. Guests may choose from the Customized Massage, the Hydrating and Anti Aging Facial, or Cleopatra’s Body, a fully body exfoliation. Spa director Lucy Livingston received gushing feed back after guests emerged from Cleopatra’s Body.

“They loved it, the smell of it. They came out and wanted us to touch them and feel their skin,” said Livingston.

The Spa at Conrad Miami in its first year as a Spa Month participant, this spa is wasting no time offering great deals. For $99, spa goers in need of some rest and recreation may choose from the 90-minute Pear & Green Apple Manicure/Pedicure and Beauty Break Facial, Personalized Signature Facial and Stress be Gone Massage, or the Signature Swedish Massage and Beauty Break Facial. Spa director Gianni Rivera boasts that with free parking, access to the pool, a complimentary cocktail and 25 percent off food, no other offer can compete.

But theElemis Spa at Loews Miami Beach, celebrating its 20th anniversary, has some massage worthy deals of its own. At Elemis Spa, guests may elect a full body sugar scrub, Bliss Body Gloss, followed by a 50-minute Swedish Massage, face and eye rejuvenation, the Beauty Booster, or beach ready hair and nail treatment, Beach Beautiful. Because 90 minutes just is not enough to scrub away the worry lines, Elemis offers guests access to their steam room, hydro pool, co-ed calming Lounge and work out facility.

The Lapis Spa, at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach is already being “steamrolled” with reservations. At this two-story spa utilizing mineral rich water throughout, guests may choose from a 50-minute Swedish or Hot Stones Rock Massage, 50-minute Men’s Club Facial, or a 90-minute Mineral Soak, facial and pedicure combination. The list of additional perks include access to the gym, rain tunnels, jetted pools, private lockers, any of the nine Fontainebleau pools, and discounted valet parking to name a few.

“People see this as an opportunity to relax and spend some time with themselves. It’s the greatest luxury we have as a society,” said Josie Feria, director of spa operations.

The award winning Willow Stream Spa at theFairmont Turnberry Isle is a returning participant offering 90-minute services. This tri-level facility provides spa month goers with 90 minute Relaxation Massages and Customized Cleansing Facials, simply because that’s what you want.

"Rather than forcing people into a treatment and something they’re not comfortable with, we went back to the basics,” said Kirstie Bolitho, spa director.

After an intensely satisfying treatment, Willow Stream stretches your dollars further by providing access to its fitness facility and Cascata Pool, with lounge and tiki-like bar.

“I don’t even look at it as pampering anymore, but just taking some time away from the craziness of life,” said Bolitho.
