The Beauty Beat: 10/16-10/22

This week, the Beauty Beat thinks pink

From products that go to finding a cure to spa treatments that give back, and even a way to keep you healthy from the inside out, this week the Beauty Beat is all about raising awareness for breast cancer.

BEAUTY: October, as you must know, is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so when it comes to your beauty routine, think pink. This month, B. Witching Bath Co. is giving to the cause by donating half of the $19.95 from its One Hundred Roses Bath Oil to B4BC, a not-for-profit company that raises awareness on the importance of early detection. A product for the girl on the go, this oil works as a massage oil or light body moisturizer. It can even be used in the bath. How’s that for multitasking? GET IT: bwitchingbathco.com.

SPA: This month, the Fontainebleau is going pink — Bleau Goes Pink, to be exact. Lapis Spa at the Fontainebleau is offering a menu of “pink” treatments, with proceeds from the Pink Healer going toward Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer. The 50-minute Swedish or “hot stone massage” also includes use of the spa’s facility for a full day of bliss. GET IT: $105. 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. Reservations required. Make them by e-mailing lapisspa@fontainebleau.com or calling 305.674.4772.

GYM: We may not yet have a cure for breast cancer, but healthy living from the inside out is as good a chance as any for beating this disease to the punch. This week, check in at The Standard for Sexi Beauty and Youth Day Retreat with Dr. Etti. They call her the Juice Goddess, and she’s famous for her juice fasts and path to enlightenment. Her program, Sexi Juicing, has been a hit in Miami for seven years now. See what all the fuss is about as she teaches you about juicing, facial and body scrubs at the hamam and the three “Fs” (focus, feel and flow). Plus, for $75, you’ll score a beauty smoothie, hamam use and use of the spa facilities, 20 percent off special detox therapies and a goodie bag. Then, check in to a yoga class to continue your path to enlightenment. GET IT: 40 Island Ave., Miami Beach; 305-673-1717.

Still want to get in on the pink action? Head over to Equinox on Oct. 19 for Pump It For Pink. Put on your pink gear, drop $10 (proceeds benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation) and prepare for a full body strength and conditioning workout. You'll be rewarded with a pink ribbon and entry into a raffle with cool prizes. Plus, you'll have enough endorphins kickin' to get you through the rest of the week. GET IT: Classes start at 9 a.m. in Aventura, 9:30 a.m. in South Beach and 10:15 a.m. in Coral Gables. Aventura, Aventura Mall, 19501 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura; 305.935.9514. South Beach, 520 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305.673.1172. Coral Gables, The Village of Merrick Park, 370 San Lorenzo Ave., Coral Gables; 786.497.8200.
