Think this is a drum? Ha, you ain't seen nothin' yet. Prepare for Kodo to bang its way into town tonight.

EVERYDAY ART: Those may just be ramen noodles you’re eating right now, but tonight at the Diana Lowenstein Fine Arts Gallery the insta-meal becomes a work of art. Luis Alonzo Barkigia presents “Inanimate Survey of Male Potential,” sculptures comprised of found objects, Styrofoam and Barkigia’s personal garbage. Waste not, want not. 7:30 p.m.

I WANNA ROCK: Rock ‘n’ roll the way it was meant to be: loud music, kids with weird hair and lots and lots of tattoos. Join in the mosh pit of Miami punk and hard rock at Rockaway Beach at the Black Sheep Bar. 10 p.m.

DRUMLINE: Kodo brings the drums of Japan to Miami, but if you’re thinking about that little hand-held number Mr. Miyagi gave Danielson in “Karate Kid Part II,” you’re way off tune. Kodo and its super-sized drums are thunderously entertaining and have been keeping the beat around the country with more than 3,100 performances on five continents.
