6/4: You're a Big Kid Now

Undershorts, 80s tunes and plenty to eat

FOR THE BIG KIDS: Up for a late night of theater? Head to the Carnival Studio Theater at the Adrienne Arsht Center for Undershorts, a series of short plays for big kids that are provacative and hilarious. Undershorts pushes the envelope of current events through adult language and, yes, nudity, too, so it's not appropriate for those under 17. 10 P.M.

HOW DO YOU TAKE YOUR BURGER? It's the first time for this event in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Publix Apron's Cooking School and Riverwalk Trust is welcoming top restaurants to show off grilling skills. Burger samples plus three drink tickets are included in this one, plus live music from local bands. The event benefits Riverwalk Trust's mission, and tickets are $40 at the door, $30 in advance.

BACK TO THE 80S: Blue eye shadow, teased hair, different color pump socks and those Memeber's Only jackets -- relive the 80s (please ease up on the Aqua Net, though) with cover band Eruption doing classics by bands such as U2, The Police, INXS, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, Billy Idol... and on and on. Transit Lounge in Brickell, 11 P.M.

TASTE THE GABLES: It's a great way to end your week -- the kick-off party to Restaurant Week along one block of Miracle Mile. The stretch will be packed with flavor from more than 20 retaurants with great bites. Advanced tickets are $10. 6-8 P.M.
