That's Tantastic!

Get bronzed without looking like an oompa loompa

You’re so over being called "Powder" by your sun-kissed friends.

While all of them have spent the entire summer idly lying around the pool for hours, you’ve been avoiding the sun like the plague and slathering on the sunscreen like it’s going out of style.

No skin cancer or wrinkles for you, thank you very much.

But what happens when a big weekend invitation pops up and that cute romper you want to wear doesn’t look so hot with your toothpaste white gams?

If you start today applying self tanner, just maybe you’ll look like a bronzed bombshell -- if you don’t come out looking like the color of an Oompa loompa.

In Miami, most ladies, like Adrianna Lytton Alvarez, 31, don’t take risks and go directly for airbrush tanning.

The Coconut Grove resident said she’s a fan of Mayra’s Art & Spa in Kendall.

“The first time I tried it was right before my wedding. I am very fair skinned and wanted to have a nice color for my white dress,” said Alvarez. There’s no harmful sun damage and you get quick, great natural color.”

Adriana Cordovi Reynolds, 29, said South Miami spa Myra & Company is her go to spot to get tantastic skin.

On the other-side of town, Forever Tan is a popular destination for gals looking to get a healthy glow the organic way.

The airbrush tanning salon uses 100 percent organic products in their ingredients and they offer four different shades: clear, dark tropical, medium tropical and light.

Allure magazine’s July issue featured Forever Tan Miami as having the golden touch when it comes to airbrush tanning.

Airbrush tans usually last a week but at least you can be a bronzed babe for a bit.
