The Beauty Beat: 3/18-3/24

Spring, spa and sing.

BEAUTY: What we hate about spring: Losing an hour of sleep. What we love about it: Chanel’s latest makeup collection. The spring line for Chanel is packed with pink and inspired by the springtime skies. Think pink clouds at sunset. Cherry Blossoms blooming in the trees. Favorites from the collection include: Le Vernis Nail Color in April ($26), which is a very normal offering from Chanel, especially when it comes to polishes. Usually, we’re waiting to see which unheard of color will pop up next. Is normal the new black? Also worthy of a like, Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Paradis ($32.50). This is a shade that works for everyone and will immediately add a pop to your pucker. The Tigerlily Ombre Essentielle Shadow ($28.50) is a glittering gold orange. We can’t wait to try it out with a new tan for a beachy look that says golden goddess. Products definitely worth springing for. GET IT: Chanel, 9700 Collins Ave., Bal Harbour Shops; 305.868.0550.

SPA: Kicking off tomorrow, Wellness Week. The week dedicated to leading a happier and healthier life makes its way to Miami March 19-25. Look for spas, yoga studios, health clubs, salons and other health and beauty locales to offer up deals at either 50 percent off or for the flat rate of $50. Some of our favorite participating spots include: The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, MySpa Miami, Lapis and The Standard Spa. The treatment we’re craving: Standard Spring Body Ritual at The Standard ($95). Book now as spots have already started to fill up. GET IT: See participating locations and offerings at wellnessweek2012.com.

GYM:  We’ve survived Basel. We’ve victored over Wine & Food. Now it’s time for the next big event: WMC. Every March our city transforms into an all-things electronic music haven. Why should your gym be any different? This year, get into the groove at Green Monkey with two classes set to shake your asana at. Up first, Ultra Flow with Ashley G. and DJ Grayghost on March 20, 6:30 p.m. at the South Miami location. $19 for drop ins, $17 for students and free for members. The Vinyasa Flow class promises sounds by DJ Grayghost, disco lights and glowsticks. You know, like the good old days of WMC. Then, join in a little Tag Team Yoga with DJ Iron Lyon on March 22 at 7 p.m. at the Miami Beach locale. The class, led by Amy Steiner, Asha Anderson, Jessica Lurie and Paula Walker, will meld dance rhythms with Power Vinyasa. Cost is $35, $30 for members. Move to the music.
