Cocktails for a Good Cause

Local's cocktail rings fight cancer

Coral Gables resident Jacqueline Chisholm Rasco knows a thing or two about cocktails -- rings that it is.

The 29-year-old is best known for her bold statement-making cocktail party-perfect rings that have women of all ages flaunting their fingers.

From mommies to daughters to grandmas, Chisholm Rasco’s signature staples are for everyone.

They feature colorful gemstones such as amethysts, citrines and topaz and are available in platinum, gold and sterling silver.

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, there is her Be Pink line, which she originally launched four years ago when she first got into the biz.

Be Pink features rings like Pink Rock and Pinky Rock made out of pink-hued quartz and amethyst .

“I launched it when I started my line because of the nature of the cause as well as pink symbolizing femininity and strength that all women possess,” said Chisholm Rasco“Sometimes we don't know how strong we are until we endure certain circumstances. It only makes us stronger.”

The 2009 Be Pink line starts at $165 and $30 of each sale is donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The designer also sells earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

Her baubles are available at J.Del Olmo Couture in Miracle Mile as well as her website, www.chisholmcollection.com.
