The Boyfriend Every Woman Wants

Boyfriend jeans are hopelessly devoted to making you look and feel good

It might be 100 degrees outside, but a woman’s gotta have her denim.

In the case of Miami women, boyfriend jeans are the preferred pair of the moment.

Worn loose and low around the waist, these jeans are all about making one feel relaxed in this hot, humid and sticky climate.

“I have women from 25 to 65 buying boyfriend jeans,” said Heather Rifkin, owner of Pinecrest boutique, Forever in Blue Jeans.

“You definitely have to try on different fits before you know which one complements your figure,” explained Rifkin, whose best sellers include Genetic, Paige Premium Denim and Rich and Skinny.

"What is so great about them, is everything,” said Tina Boresow, owner of Tina B boutique at Body and Soul Fitness Club in Coral Gables.

“They are awesome for the day with a T-shirt and flip flops and at night with a sexy top and heels.”

Miami Beach denizen and local handbag designer Stephanie De La O agreed.

“I always wear them with a Gucci blazer, Dries Van Noten cami, Trussardi booties and a Balenciaga bag,” said De La O. “Plus, they actually make you look skinnier than skinny jeans.”

While designer boyfriend jeans can cost up to $400, there are plenty of affordable brands like American Eagle’s $29 Favorite Boyfriend Jean and Charlotte Russe’s $19 Hydraulic.

If you still want luxe, try shops like Marshalls or Loehmann’s for bargain deals.

South Miami resident Janelle Prieto recommended Maruchi, a West Miami discount designer clothing store.

“I got my Rich and Skinny boyfriend jeans for half the price there,” said Prieto.

Ah, so many great options ladies. Who knew shopping for a boyfriend could be this fun?
