Construction on 826 and 836 has been ongoing since November 2009, and one of the biggest changes is set for this weekend, including a connection that never existed before.
Friday morning, a brand new high-level flyover bridge opened, connecting 826 soutbound and 836 eastbound. The entrance to the new ramp is the first exit after NW 25th St.
Saturday morning, the existing 836 travel lanes will moved to their permanent location, from NW 87th Ave to NW 57th Ave.
Sunday morning, the travel lanes on 826 northbound will be placed on their permanent locations, from SW 8th St to 836.
The new 826 northbound flyover bridge to 836 westbound will be location just north of W Flagler St, and a connection between 826 northbound to 836 eastbound.
Once the new connections from 826 to 836 eastbound are open, drivers must use those connections.
The 826/836 construction project is set to be completed early next year.
