Chief Meteorologist John Morales discusses the weak cold front arriving in South Florida this weekend.
Temperatures in parts of South Florida reached record levels on Friday, with West Palm Beach tying their mark with a high of 88. But now a cold front is approaching, and it’s not expected to be nearly as warm this weekend.
However, the front is so weak that highs will still reach 80 both Saturday and Sunday. Also with the front’s arrival on Saturday afternoon a few spotty showers might be expected.
The frontal boundary will then stall by Sunday. With additional moisture coming in from the Gulf of Mexico, the chance of rain will increase further by the end of the weekend and beginning of the new work week.
