Cold Temps Won't Last Long in South Florida

Cool temps early Thursday will be short-lived

In the wake of an overnight cold front, Thursday morning started out very cool as temperatures dipped into the upper 50s across much of South Florida.

The afternoon will bring plenty of sunshine with highs rebounding into the lower to middle 70s. A cool north wind will keep the highs below-average Thursday but they’ll bounce back into the 80s for the upcoming weekend as winds shift out over the Atlantic once again.

That wind shift will moderate the temperatures immediately, so the cooler pattern Thursday morning will be short-lived.

The forecast trend will keep the temperatures around 80 for highs in the coming afternoons through the weekend and into next week.

Rain chances are slim, though a slight chance of showers enters the forecast for Friday and Saturday.
