Early Thunderstorms Followed by Mostly Sunny Skies Thursday

High temps to reach upper 80s in South Florida Thursday

A batch of morning thunderstorms will affect South Florida Thursday as the pulse of showers will move eastward across the Keys before dawn.

Gusty winds, downpours, and frequent lightning should be expected.  Storms will pass through Miami-Dade and possibly parts of Broward through 10 a.m.

Skies will become mostly sunny by late morning and temperatures will soar into the upper 80s.

With such warm air and an unstable atmosphere, a few strong, perhaps severe, thunderstorms may develop again this afternoon. Though it’s not a guarantee, residents should be ready for an isolated storm Thursday night.

Thunderstorms are likely Friday ahead of a cold front. Skies will clear for the weekend, but it will become breezy.
