A flood watch was in effect for South Florida Friday as the threat of heavy rain continues into the evening hours.

Overnight and early-morning rains brought 1 to 2 inches of rain to the metro area, with another 1 to 3 inches possible later in the day. Heavy rains were also plaguing the Middle and Upper Keys early Friday morning.

Look for cloudy skies and scattered downpours, with isolated thunderstorms, throughout the day.  Highs will reach 83.

Showers will wind down later tonight with lows in the lower 70s.

Saturday is a transitional day with some scattered afternoon storm possible, highs around 88. The tail end of the weekend brings mostly sunny skies and highs near 90.
