A dry and mostly sunny start to Monday will yield a pretty nice forecast for the afternoon hours in South Florida.

Thunderstorm chances take a bit of a break Monday as we knock the chances down to the isolated category. Most, if any, thunderstorms should hold across Miami-Dade county later this afternoon.

Otherwise expect partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s.

Keep the umbrellas handy, though, as showers and storms aggressively return to the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.
