A mostly sunny and peaceful morning with lows in the 60s will give way to a warm and mostly sunny afternoon Wednesday in South Florida.

There will be a slight chance for a pop-up storm in the afternoon, with otherwise warm conditions dominating and highs reaching the mid-80s.

Thursday brings more of the same to your local forecast with highs in the mid-80s and a slight chance for a late-day storm.

By the weekend, a new area of high pressure will build in and provide a breezy, if not windy, forecast. This will mean rough boating conditions and a high risk for rip currents at the beach.
