Scattered Storms Later Wednesday in South Florida

Highs in mid and upper 80s

Early temps in the lower 70s will rise to highs in the mid and upper 80s Wednesday in South Florida.

Highs will likely occur early afternoon before clouds thicken and showers affect the southeast coast.

Patchy fog will dissipate around 8 a.m. Until then visibility on the roads in Miami-Dade and Broward will be reduced in spots, especially inland.

Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected again Wednesday, some may become strong with frequent lightning, small hail, and gusty winds.  Also, heavy downpours will be present that result in locally heavy rain.

The Keys may dodge the storms again today. There is a 10 percent risk of rain through the island chain. Partial sun is forecasted there.

A cold front will move through South Florida Thursday, triggering additional wet and stormy weather Thursday.  Friday and Saturday, at this time, look generally dry and partly sunny.
