Look for a mild and muggy start to the day with temperatures in the mid-70s Thursday in South Florida.

A big storm system in the Gulf may spread scattered storms our way as early as this afternoon with highs in the mid-80s. Storms will be on the increase tonight with temperatures staying mild, only dipping into the mid-70s.

The same system will bring more storms to South Florida Friday, some potentially severe, with highs struggling to reach 80.

Lower humidity and cooler temps will settle in just in time for the weekend. Highs will struggle to get out of the upper-70s.
