Quick morning showers are expected on the breeze with more sunshine this afternoon. Meteorologist Shiri Spear has the local forecast.
Heavy rains overnight and throughout the day have caused flooding in Lauderhill Thursday.
Officials said four to five inches fell within several hours. The 7900 block of NW 50 Street was not passable.
The rain was expected to continue Thursday as breezy showers will zip onshore and quickly move inland in South Florida.
Keep in mind, there will be lots of dry times between pockets of rain.
Due to locally heavy rain Thursday morning, drivers should be prepared for minor flooding on roadways.
Highs will peak in the upper 80s.
