Chief Meteorologist John Morales shows why rain chances are high for this weekend.
Humidity levels shot up on Friday, and rain is on the way for the weekend.
A large area of moisture has crossed the Bahamas and has reached South Florida and the Keys. We could see rain showers beginning Friday night, but the chance for rain is expected to increase over the weekend, possibly peaking on Sunday.
It will be mostly cloudy and muggy, with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-70s. There will be a good chance of showers or thunderstorms on Saturday, though it appears these may occur in episodes which would allow for dry periods between rainstorms.
Computer forecast models point to the possibility of heavier rains Saturday night into Sunday.
The unsettled weather might continue next week, with breezy conditions.
