Sunshine, Highs in Lower 90s Monday in South Florida

Limited thunderstorm chance for early part of week

The new week starts off with a lot of sunshine and a limited thunderstorm chance in South Florida.

Bright sunshine rules the next few days as highs climb into the lower 90s. A wind shift by mid-week will also shift the weather pattern to a few more showers and thunderstorms. Until then, enjoy the mainly dry pattern.

In the tropics, a disturbance east of the Lesser Antilles shows some promise of development in the next day or two.  Computer models are not in good agreement so we’ll monitor the area for any signs of our next named storm, Isaac.
