Showers and storms stay in the forecast Monday as a surge of tropical moisture moves across South Florida.

The threat for locally heavy rains will hang around through the afternoon before conditions improve overnight tonight and into our Tuesday forecast.

Highs Monday will climb to 88, with highs closer to 90 on Tuesday as more sunshine enters the pattern.

Tropical Storm Ernesto continues to move across the Western Caribbean as now Tropical Depression Florence falls apart in the open Atlantic waters.
