Weather Forecast: Chance for Isolated Showers and Thunderstorms Friday

Afternoon storm chances before hot weather moves into South Florida

Look for one more afternoon with an isolated thunderstorm chance Friday before hot, sunny conditions begin to settle into South Florida for the weekend.

Friday morning will start off with full sunshine and quickly warm temperatures up through the mid-80s by the lunch hour. We’ll transition to partly cloudy skies by mid-day and then bring in some isolated showers and thunderstorm chances. Most of the activity will move inland by 5 p.m., leaving us dry late in the afternoon and early evening.

The pattern will shift this weekend as dry air moves in, settling storm chances and bringing hot sunshine to the pattern for the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny and hot with temperatures around 91. Typical summer storm chances return next week.
