A summertime pattern is still in place across South Florida this week, favoring early-morning showers and afternoon storms inland.

While it’s been tough to get a sunny day recently, more sunshine should prevail in the days ahead.

Thursday will be partly sunny with highs around 90. There could be a late night shower as temperatures stay in the lower 80s.

Friday will see more sunshine and an isolated shower, with highs again around 90. Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy with isolated showers.

While Tropical Storm Gabrielle is spreading rains across Puerto Rico Thursday, the system will make a gradual shift to the north and stay well east of the United States. The seventh named storm of the season will pose no threat to South Florida.
