Sunshine returned in abundance in the South Florida weather pattern Friday, along with lower humidity.

The pleasant weather brings an end to a soggy week across South Florida and the Keys.

Expect partly cloudy conditions with highs around 89 Friday.

Heading into the weekend, mostly sunny skies and summer-like temperatures will continue across the area before isolated thunderstorm chances return to the pattern on Sunday afternoon.

By the start of the new work-week, storm chances will re-enter the forecast pattern, allowing summer weather to hang on into the first week of fall.

There are no named systems in the Atlantic basin at this time. Hurricane season runs through November 30th.
