Kim Wynne is an NBC 6 reporter who joined the team in January of 2020. Before that she worked in several TV news markets across the country, most recently as a reporter at WKRN News 2 in Nashville, TN.
Wynne moved to Nashville after working at WGHP TV-8 in Greensboro, North Carolina and CBS affiliate KGAN in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She also worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at KXXV News Channel 25, the ABC affiliate in Killeen, Texas.
Wynne got her first “big break” while in graduate school, landing her first job at Torrance CitiCABLE 3 in Torrance, California.
An east coast native, Wynne was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She began her broadcast career as an intern in top television news markets including WPIX-11 News and NY1 in New York City and for the KTLA morning show in Los Angeles.
Wynne earned a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California. She also holds a B.A. in English from Virginia State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
Wynne is happy to call South Florida home. She considers herself to be a “foodie” and also enjoys cooking and traveling.
