Fort Lauderdale Beach Shooting Takes Place Near Jennifer Lopez Video Filming

Police confirmed that Lopez was safe in her vehicle at the time of the shooting.

Shots rang out Sunday in Fort Lauderdale near the scene of the filming of a Jennifer Lopez video, authorities said.

Lopez was filming with her crew at the southernmost end of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park at 800 Seabreeze Boulevard when the gunshots were reported.

The shots appeared to be fired in the northernmost point of the parking lot, Fort Lauderdale Police said.

Entertainment reporter Rob Marciano Tweeted that the gunshots happened as he was interviewing the star.

"BREAKING: Gunshots fired on Fort Lauderdale Beach DURING my JLo interview. No kidding. Security scrambled her away," Rob Marciano Tweeted.

Police investigated the incident but found nothing.

“Officers attempted to investigate the incident; however, there was no evidence of a shooting, no known witnesses, no injuries and no further information,” Fort Lauderdale Police said in a statement.

Police confirmed that Lopez was safe in her vehicle at the time of the shooting.
