Live Music this Week: November 25 – December 1

Wed., Nov. 27 – Steve Aoki at LIV, 11pm, $60 - $90

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving may be the night where some get all the fixings ready for the big day. For others, however, it's time to put on the freakum' dress and head to LIV, as Steve Aoki will be performing. Aoki is known for his completely ridiculous stage antics, including spraying crowds with champagne and sporadically crowd surfing . Ready for it? Then the show begins at 11 pm.

Wed., Nov. 27 – Los Amigos Invisibles at Grand Central, 10 pm, $40

Venezuelan group Los Amigos Invisibles bring their distinct blend of acid jazz, disco, and funk the 305 this week. The group has been together since the early 1990s, and have eight critically acclaimed albums under their belt. They take the stage at Grand Central this Wednesday night, joined by fellow Venezuelan group Caramelos De Cianuro, starting at 10 pm.

Fri., Nov. 29 – Kanye West at American Airlines Arena, 8 pm, $39.50 - $150.00

Fresh off the heels of an impromptu lecture at Harvard and a steamy video with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West takes over the AAA this Friday night. Controversies and stage issues aside, West and LA based rapper Kendrick Lamar are back on the road with the Yeezus Tour. The tour is noted as one of the best hip hop tours this year, and this South Florida stops marks the first solo show from West in five years.

Sat., Nov. 30 – Afrobeta at The Stage, $10, 10 pm

Miami's own avant-garde dance duo Afrobeta is a hometown favorite. The dance party that follows the twosome is infectious, partly due to the unstoppable force known as Cuci Amador leading the group, and Smurphio providing the beats that are impossible to ignore. This Saturday, they bring their show to Design District's The Stage, starting at 10 pm
