Two fundraising events in support of Miami Children’s Hospital will take place at the Biltmore Hotel & Golf Course on March 20-21.  The Gentlemen’s Night Out, which kicks-off the two-day event, includes tastings of premium scotches, spirits and cigars, a silent auction and entertainment.  Miami Children’s Annual Corporate Golf Invitational on March 21, invites foursomes for a golf outing followed by a reception and a silent auction. The Official Miami Walk of Fame, Inc. Debut
 
The Official Miami Walk of Fame will mark its debut with a star-studded public ceremony  on Friday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at Bayside Marketplace. The animated film RIO 2 and two of the film's stars, Academy® Award and Grammy® Award-Winner, Jamie Foxx, and Andy Garcia will be inducted to Miami's own Walk of Fame.  The free, family-friendly public ceremony will celebrate Brazilian culture with a live appearance of the Rio 2 mascot, "Blu."Additionally, the Miami Children's Chorus will be singing the movie's theme song, "What is Love" accompanied by Paulo Gualano's Brazilian and Latin Music Company Samba drummers and dancers.  Audiences will also be treated to a display of colorful birds of the Amazon presented by Jungle Island and a proclamation from the Brazilian Consulate will be given to Bayside Marketplace for promoting tourism and business exchange with Brazil.

The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller merges film and music to create a 'live documentary'. The documentary chronicles the life and career of R. Buckminster Fuller, an architect, engineer, and author. His life is narrated by director Sam Green, who flashes images while indie band Yo La Tengo plays the original score, live. This performance piece has two showings at the Colony Theatre this Saturday night.
 
MDC Live Arts presents Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Sam Green with venerated indie rock band Yo La Tengo for an enthralling hour-long “live documentary” on R. Buckminster Fuller  - "one of the most compelling figures of the 20th Century."  Yo La Tengo will provide the live backdrop soundtrack for Green’s charismatic in-person narration as he projects film clips, photographs, and blueprints from Fuller’s immense body of work.  Be part of the multi-media happening with “The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller,” on Saturday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at the Colony Theatre, Miami Beach. Tickets are available at www.mdclivearts.org.  
 
Powerful Musical Duo at Turnberry Isle 
 
Turnberry Isle Miami presents the sophisticated and powerful musical duo Mark Bornfield and D’Jamin Bartlett. Renowned throughout South Florida, the duo sings in several languages, and is well known in Paris, Guatemala, Peru and Costa Rica. Mark is an Emmy-winning composer, pianist, vocalist and trumpet player; his versatility is the perfect complement to D’Jamin, who has won a Theater World, Drama Desk, and Show Business Award. She has appeared on the Tonight Show and Broadway. The duo performs in the lobby of the luxurious Mediterranean-style resort on the weekends, from 8 p.m. to midnight, throughout March (19999 Country Club Drive, Aventura).
