The Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards takes place this week at the BankUnited Center (1245 Dauer Drive, Coral Gables) from April 22-25.   Expect a slew of your favorite presenters including Diddy, Pittbull, actors Jimmy Smits, Ray Santiago, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, plus artists Alicia Villarreal, Joan Sebastian,Ana Gabriel, Graciela Beltran, La Mafia and performers including Maná, Draco Rosa, Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee, Juan Luis Guerra, Don Omar, Carlos Vives, Paulina Rubio and Wisin y Yandel. Horse Around This Weekend

The “sport of kings” returns to Miami Beach as the Polo Life, LLC presents the ninth annual La Martina Miami Beach Polo World Cup, the world’s largest and most prestigious Beach Polo competition, taking place from April 25th to April 28th between 20th and 22nd Streets on the sands of South Beach, Florida. Tickets are now on sale at www.miamipolo.com. General admission to the men’s and women’s competitions and adjacent retail village is free, and concessions will be available for purchase. Harry Connick, Jr. Headlines Arsht Gala

The iconic, Harry Connick, Jr., will take over the stage of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts for a special performance at the Center’s 2013 Gala on April 26th. Connick, recipient of three Grammy Awards, three Emmy Awards and two Tony Award nominations, will perform an intimate show at the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall, where the venue’s orchestra level will be transformed into “a festival floor” – creating an elegant evening and offering guests a memorable, intimate experience in a world-class setting. Heart of a Chef

Learn to cook and eat healthy this Sunday at Florida Heart Research Institute’s, Heart of a Chef fundraiser, which aims to educate the community about the prevention of childhood obesity and promote heart health. This year’s event, takes place at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens (10901 Old Cutler Road)  from 3-7 p.m. and features food and wine tastings, educational seminars and a culinary battle, featuring two of Miami’s hottest chefs, Todd Erickson, executive chef of Haven South Beach versus Aaron Brooks, executive chef of Edge Steak & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Miami. Help for Victims of Boston Marathon Bombing

The luxurious Palms Hotel on Miami Beach hopes to raise funds for brothers: J.P. and Paul Norden and their friend Marc Fucarile, all of whom suffered amputations and severe burns due to the recent tragedy at the Boston Marathon.
