Celebrate the Arts during YoungArts Week  

The National YoungArts Foundation, based in Miami has just announced its 2014 YoungArts Winners. Out of approximately 11,000 applications submitted, 714 awards were granted to 687 students across 46 states to recognize their excellence in the literary, performing, visual and design arts.
 
From January 6 – 12, 171 of the most talented  finalists, (16 of whom are Miami natives),  will participate in YoungArts week – a life-changing experience including cash awards of up to $10,000, and master classes and workshops with internationally renowned artists such as Frank Gehry, Irving Sandler, Rita Moreno, Andrew Rannells, Shelly Berg, Shalita Grant, Lourdes Lopez, and Judith Hill to name a few.
 
You can be a part of the action by partaking in performances by these YoungArts finalists every night this week. Each of these young stars will wow audiences with public performances, readings and a visual arts exhibition at venues including the New World Center, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and the National YoungArts Foundation Campus. The National YoungArts Foundation invites you to a party on its campus (2100 Biscayne Boulevard) following its annual fundraising gala starting on Saturday, January 11, at 9 pm.  The party will feature performances, premium open bar, music, dancing and dessert.
