Club Connoisseur: Miami's Best New Hot Spots

Does South Beach need one more club or lounge? Probably not, but we are truly glad these four have made their homes here.

So for all of you looking to super size your social calendar, make these spots a must-see on your Miami map.

What: There are plenty of places that pride themselves of being the ultimate after party palace. But coming late February, patrons will have the The Flat where they want you to begin your evening. Started by South Beach "gatekeeper" Cedric Adegnika, he wants to give somewhere you can have it all, "the cocktails are extraordinary, the ambiance is eclectic and the music sets you up for what's to come next in the night... dinner, another lounge or even a nightcap before bed."
Where: 500 S. Pointe Drive, Miami Beach

What: Think back to your favorite high school memories of a basement, great music and not a care in the world. Now, imagine that with better booze and the touch of class that comes with The Gale on South Beach. To have a real blast from the past, Rec Room décor includes walls lined in wood panels, refurbished stereos and over 3,000 vinyl records. What exactly was the inspiration? LDV Brand Partner Amy Sacco had this to say: "The Rec Room concept is a perfect combination of New York's underground vibe and the laid-back feel Miami is known for. The Miami Beach outpost will transport guests back to a time where nightlife was about good friends and great drinks in an atmosphere where everyone's a VIP."
Where: The Gale, 1690 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

Who: Story
What: If you were looking for the mega club experience, before January of this year, LIV was your one and only option. Thanks to Story, located South of Fifth, that is no longer the case. Catering to uber elite, club kids and tourists looking to tango wont need to look anywhere else.
Where: Story Nightclub, 136 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

Who: SL
What: If when visiting a hotel your goal is not to leave the property, The James Royal Palm is for you. Since opening quietly in November, it has quickly become to talk of the town - from the hotel itself to the hotel's two restaurants, Catch and Florida Cookery, and especially its ultra-lounge, SL Miami. Getting notes from their sister spots in the Meatpacking District, the lounge is set up for the ultimate in bottle service; Perfect for any South Beach soiree.
Where: The James, 1545 Collins Ave, Miami Beach
