Professional Club Kid Zac Courtney: “You're Only as Good as Your Last Party”

Promoter Zac Courtney is a career club kid.

The 24-year-old entrepreneur parlayed his partying ways and penchant for free booze into a full-time nightlife gig. He and his partner Gina La Bianca own LoveCat, a marketing and events company for the Miami club scene that employs more than a dozen workers.

"I was looking to drink for free," said Courtney, who promoted at Tantra about two years ago. "From there,  I just went out on my own and started setting up things with venues, hiring the deejays and getting the whole package together."

But a good time is one thing Courtney said he doesn't take lightly. He is head promoter at SET's new Thursday night party, can be found Fridays at CoCo Deville and Saturday evenings at The Florida Room.

“I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t get old," Courtney confessed. "I really do love what I do though. In general, over all I really love it. But there are times that maybe I’m having a bad day and don’t want to go out ... but I always try to keep that out of the club.

"You’re only as good as your last party.”
