Live in Oprah's House for $15K Per Month

For most people moving into a house is the culmination of the arduous real estate purchasing experience. However, it has been proven time and again that talk show queen Oprah Winfrey is not most people.

The media mogul owns a stunning eight room co-op unit in Chicago, which she bought in 2006 for $5.6 million, but never moved into despite convincing the co-op board of the building that she would make it her primary residence. The sixth floor unit has presumably sat vacant until recently when Oprah decided to list the apartment for rent for $15,000 per month.

Oprah's elegant crib is located in a Beau-Arts-style building designed by architect Benjamin Marshall. There are eight total rooms in the spread, including three bedrooms, three full baths, two half baths, as well as 10 foot ceilings, two fireplaces, a solarium, a wine room, and a formal dining room.

Potential renters can even look forward to Oprah as their neighbor, as well as their landlord. When in Chicago, she decamps to a 15,000-square-foot duplex condo just blocks away from this palatial apartment.
