Janeane Garofalo has signed on to play a doctor in a new CBS pilot.
The actress-comedienne has joined the untitled medical drama from producer John Wells, according to EW.com.
Garofalo joins a cast that also includes Amy Smart and "Twlight's" Rachelle Lefevre and will center around a team of medical professionals who travel the U.S. helping those in need of assistance. Sounds like a medical "A-Team," where Garofalo plays the chief nurse and operations manager.
We love it when a plan, especially one with Garofalo, comes together. You know she'll bring her usual comedic drama flair, which could be perfect in this type of environment.
