ART FILM: That time between struggling artist and successful artist can be considered a work of art all on its own. Filmmakers Grela Orihuela and Bill Bilowit of Wet Heat Project were able to capture that magical period in local artist Hernan Bas’ career in the recently released documentary "miamiHeights: Hernan Bas." The couple followed a 29-year-old Bas from the time of his 10-year retrospective at the Rubell Family Collection through his journey to his opening at the Brooklyn Museum on his 31st birthday. The documentary features influential collectors, gallerists, museum directors, dealers and curators speaking candidly about what it takes to launch an artist’s career to new heights. GET IT: $19.95.
