Dan is NBC6’s weekend morning news anchor alongside meteorologist Steve MacLaughlin. He also contributes as reporter during the weekday newscasts.

Dan joined NBC6 from the NBC affiliate station KUSA in Denver, Colorado where he served as a reporter and, most recently, as weekend morning news anchor. Prior to this, he worked as a multimedia journalist at CBS affiliate station KTHV in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Some of Dan’s most notable news coverage while at KTHV includes extended live coverage of the May, 2014 deadly tornado and the gay marriage ruling in Little Rock, Arkansas. During his time at KUSA, Grossman also covered other major severe weather events that have highly impacted the South Florida market including Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Irma.

Dan is a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award and an EMMY® award recipient for his sports feature reporting and earned his Bachelor degree in in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. He enjoys telling compelling stories and bucking the trend of what a traditional news story is supposed to look like.

Outside of work, you can find Dan wakeboarding, exercising, or screaming expletives at the TV in support of his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. He couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the South Florida community and the NBC6 family.
