Julianne Moore Spreads Love With Children's Charity

Julianne Moore has teamed up with the children’s charity Save The Children for a special Valentine’s Day project aimed at helping unfortunate kids in rural America.

The actress has enlisted the help of seven artists to design Valentine’s Day cards that can be purchased on the children’s charity Web site, www.savethechildren.org, with proceeds going to the 1 in 5 children who live in poverty in rural parts of the country.

“We’re living in a country where every child should have an equal opportunity,” the actress said on a recent media tour to promote Save the Children’s Valentine’s Day cards.

“The only way to give these children opportunity is through education, and Save the Children is helping us reach that goal,” she continued. “I’ve seen these programs, in some of poorest, most remote communities in America, and I know they work.”

Julianne created the program with Save the Children last year. She helped designed cards that featured children’s artwork.
