Kate Gosselin On Marriage Woes: 'We've Been Dealing With This For A Long Time'

While the problems facing Jon and Kate Gosselin's marriage have only recently been made public, according to Kate, problems have been brewing behind the scenes for quite some time.

In a new promo for "Jon & Kate Plus 8," the embattled reality couple takes turns addressing their relationship in individual confessional interviews.

"We haven't really known where we were going, but we've been dealing with this for a long time," a visibly emotional Kate tells the camera. "[It's] a slow progression that has not popped up one day. It's not been like a secret… We've been dealing with this for a long time."

Jon seemed to echo his wife's troubling sentiments, noting the strain on the couple's relationship was not brand new.

"It just got worse and worse and worse," he said to the camera. "With all the tabloids and all that, it just made it even worse."

Tabloid reports have suggested Jon has been cheating on his wife. And while Jon did not address those claims directly in the new promo, he does admit he is not the same man he used to be.

"People think I've changed and I have changed. But I'm now the person I know I am," Jon said.

In addition, Access Hollywood has confirmed Jon has been shopping for an apartment in New York City's Trump Place.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the couple will make a "life-changing" announcement on the new episode of the TLC show, airing June 22.

According to RadarOnline.com, the couple will announce they are getting a divorce on Monday's show.

And while she continues to struggle with her relationship with her husband, Kate said through it all, her focus remains on her children.

"It doesn't matter where Jon and I are in our relationship, my kids still matter the most to me," she said.

Regardless of what Monday's announcement holds, it appears Kate is set on moving forward.

"We can't go back now. We can only go forward and that's what we're going to do," she added. "We're going to learn a lot going forward and I know we'll all come out of this on the other side, hopefully stronger, better, wiser."
