Kris Jenner Addicted to the Cameras

Kardashian mom-ager also shoots down gossip reports about her daughters

Kris Jenner has conceded that having cameras keep up with the Kardashian clan's every move is “somewhat addictive.”

The reality mom-ager of six said in response to a light-hearted grilling from NBC’s Matt Lauer on the “Today” show Wednesday that her family can’t wait to begin taping each new season of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

"It's almost unusual not to have all the cameras in our lives," she said. "It's an opportunity for me as a mom -- I get to wake up every single day and work with my kids.”

Jenner also shot down several rumors about her family, attributing a flurry of erroneous gossip reports to tabloids’ interest in pumping up sales.

"The girls sell magazines,” she said.

She singled out as “ridiculous” twin reports that daughters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe were considering dumping her as their manager and that Khloe’s biological dad may not be Jenner’s late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian.

Jenner also denied that Khloe and Lamar Odom had called off their spin-off show over marital problems.

“The reality show was not cancelled, so that rumor was just silly,” she said. “It’s more or less a hiatus that they want to take so that Lamar can focus on basketball right now.”

As for the budding romance between Kim and Kanye West, Jenner called West a “great guy,” but said Lauer would have to ask her newly divorced daughter if she was in love with the rap star.

"I stopped commenting about the details in my kids' friendships and relationships, because I get nothing but in trouble," she said.

Lauer appeared a bit embarrassed over several of his prepared questions, including one about a rumor that Jenner’s fat lip in a “Keeping Up” preview was due to a cosmetic procedure gone wrong.

“I’m going to be so proud of this interview at some future date,” he joked.

As the interview wrapped, Lauer said, “call the museum of broadcasting, this one is over.”

“You did a great job,” Jenner assured the veteran broadcaster.

Season seven of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” kicks off Sunday on E!
