LiLo's Dad Injured in Parking Lot Attack: Cops

Attack occurred hours before daughter Lindsay appeared in court

Michael Lohan, the estranged father of actress Lindsay Lohan, suffered cuts to his neck and forearm Thursday night in an attack at a Santa Monica, Calif. parking lot near his apartment, according to reports.

A man believed to be 40 to 50-years-old attacked Lohan with a sharp object as he was entering his car, Santa Monica Police Sgt. Jay Trisler told The Associated Press.

Lohan’s attacker fled after falling during the scuffle and no suspects have been arrested, cops told the AP.

On Friday, celebrity site x17online.com published photos of Lohan, 50, showing off his wounds outside the Beverly Hills courthouse where a judge ordered Lindsay Lohan to return to a drug rehab program for failing a drug test.

In keeping with a recent pledge to stop courting the press, Lohan was mum with details of the incident.

"I want to make a public statement that I will not be commenting on ANYTHING relating to my daughter Lindsay, or ANYTHING my ex-wife Dina, or any 'sources' related to her, might say,” Lohan said earlier this week. "For the sake of those I offended, I apologize and ask their forgiveness. ... So please refrain from calling or contacting me."
