Robert De Niro Settles With Nanny for $30K: Report

Robert De Niro’s special Cecil B. DeMille trophy isn’t the only thing that broke lately – the famed actor’s pocketbook will reportedly take a $30,000 hit to settle charges De Niro failed to pay his kid’s nanny.

The “Goodfellas” star and wife Grace Hightower must pay Alexis Barry the lump sum by the end of the day, the New York Daily News reported on Thursday, citing court records.

A rep for the actor did not return the News’ request for comment.

Barry originally filed suit for $40,000 last year, claiming she was stiffed more than 750 hours of overtime and owed 10 days vacation for time she never took, according to The Associated Press.

The nanny, who reportedly began working for the couple in August 2006, said in court papers she was fired 10 months later after announcing she planned to quit.

De Niro and Hightower have a 12-year-old son, Elliott.

The film star also has four children from past relationships.
