Kevin Bacon is in the market for a new phone after his Blackberry was reportedly swiped by a thief in a New York City subway station.

But Bacon wasn't about to just give up his PDA – the actor reportedly chased down the alleged thief but lost him in the crowded station.

NYC Transit officials told the paper no subway personnel were informed about the alleged crime, but Post sources said Bacon did call the police. A spokesperson for the NYPD could not confirm if Bacon had filed a report when contacted by the paper.

The actor who was traveling with his band, the Bacon Brothers, was unavailable for comment when contacted by The Post.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, this isn't first time Bacon has been swindled. Kevin and wife Kyra Sedgwick are among the many victims of the massive Ponzi scheme run by the disgraced New York money manager Bernie Madoff, who plead guilty to running a $65 billion fraud in March.
