Ellen DeGeneres Makes Gwen Stefani Blush by Asking Her to Talk About Blake Shelton: β€˜He's a Good Kisser, or No?'

Ellen DeGeneres put Gwen Stefani in the hot seat Friday.

When Stefani appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" two weeks ago, she gave the debut performance of her hit single "Used to Love You," written and recorded in the wake of her divorce from Bush's Gavin Rossdale.

"It had just come out the day before or something, so I don't think people really understood what that song was about. I think people were like, 'What is she saying?' And then, of course, stuff leaked out and people found out," the TV host told Stefani on Friday's episode of the hit daytime talk show. "After the show I was like, 'Look at her!' Because I was so proud of how strong you are."

DeGeneres said she thinks Stefani has "turned a corner," telling her guest, "You went through a lot of pain. I'm sure there's stuff that happens and different emotions come up every day, but you're in a great place now. You're in a happy place." Stefani confirmed that she is, in fact, in a "good place" after her breakup. "I'm having a lot of fun. It's like a whole new life, a whole new chapter," she explained. "It's been so great to be on 'The Voice' and to be around all that music."

That's when the conversation turned to Blake Shelton, whom Stefani recently began dating. "I love watching the show, and I love watching you and how fun you are on the show and how you seem to have gotten more and more relaxed as the season went on and more playful as the season goes on," DeGeneres said. The talk show host told Stefani that she was "just trying to dance around the subject." Then, DeGeneres asked, "But you're happy and you're having fun?"

"I'm having lots of fun, yeah," Stefani said.

"Yeah," DeGeneres replied as a photo of Stefani sitting in Shelton's lap on the set of NBC's "The Voice" appeared onscreen behind them. "That's all I'm saying." The pop singer replied, "Woah!"

"I don't know where that came from," DeGeneres joked.

"Ride 'em cowboy," Stefani joked.

"I don't know why that's up there," DeGeneres joked. "That's right! He's one of the coaches. And probably during another commercial break you're on Adam [Levine]'s lap. I don't know."

Stefani joked, "I'm usually on one of their laps between each commercial."

On a slightly more serious note, DeGeneres said, "I've told you before, I love Blake. I think he's hilarious and he really is knowledgeable. He knows so much about music, doesn't he?" Stefani then made a surprising confession: "I did not know this about him because I didn't even know who he was before I was on the show. Before I was on 'The Voice' I never heard of him before. I didn't. I hadn't. I'm an O.C. girl. Like, what would I know?" she told DeGeneres. "But he knows every single '80s song. He literally is a musical jukebox. He knows everything about music it's crazy."

"Yeah," DeGeneres said. "And he's a good kisser, or no?"

Stefani blushed. "Wow!" she said. "You're so awesome."

"All right," DeGeneres said. "I was just having fun."
