Now that's what we call a kiss and tell.
Jimmy Kimmel got very up close and personal with Johnny Depp Monday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" when the host quickly discovered that the actor has a very, shall we say, hands-on approach to thanking folks for their compliments.
And Depp definitely knew how to pay proper lip service.
Here's how it went down.

The 50-year-old star stopped by to promote his new film "The Lone Ranger," which opens on July 3, and as soon as Depp took his seat, Kimmel couldn't help but marvel over the actor's impressive visage.
"You know, you have this very handsome, this...let's be honest and say beautiful face," Kimmel gushed.

Depp then immediately got up and bussed the host on the cheek before winding up and then going back in for an encore, this time planting a kiss on Kimmel's lips.
The PDA clearly left the host fairly flustered, as Kimmel fanned himself with his hands.

"I'm done, I'm done," Deep quipped.
"I've lost my train of thought," Kimmel said, prompting Depp to lean over and kiss Kimmel for a third time.
(Cue the collective thuds! from fainting fans.)
"That's more kissing than I did in all of high school," Kimmel cracked.
Lip-locking notwithstanding, Kimmel also quizzed Depp on whether his kids--the actor has a 14-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose, and an 11-year-old son, Jack, with ex Vanessa Paradis--are impressed with him.

"They're incredibly supportive," the actor explained, "but they do realize that the majority of characters that I kind of swallowed or sponged came from playing Barbies."
"From Barbies?" a surprised Kimmel replied. "With them?"
Depp then caught himself, making sure to give a shout-out to boys' toys.
"And G.I. Joes--equal opportunity, right?" he teased, before ending with this zinger: "I do wanna say something, though: I played more Barbies."
Based on his memorably eccentric and lauded performances, looks like Depp's found a terrific way to help get into character.
