Jimmy Fallon and Martin Freeman Play Antler Ring Toss

Martin Freeman is one of Britain's busiest actors. He co-stars opposite Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. John Watson in "Sherlock." He's hosting "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. And he's been a virtual silver-screen fixture as Bilbo Baggins in "The Hobbit" movie trilogy.

But for all his current roles, the British actor is still most often recognized in America for his part in "Love Actually," he told Jimmy Fallon during a visit to "The Tonight Show" Friday.

"I've been asked by Americans at airports, like, 'Have you done anything besides "Love Actually"?'" said Freeman, who also garnered a Golden Globe nomination this year for his role in the FX miniseries "Fargo."

Freeman's final turn as Baggins comes Friday with the release of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies." But he told Fallon he still regrets missing out a different magical film franchise.

"I was one of seven British actors who were not in 'Harry Potter," Freeman joked. "For a long time, it was me and six other people staring through the window like orphans."

Fallon challenged Freeman to a game of antler ring toss, in which the two competed to land rings on deer antlers attached to matching camouflage helmets. (Naturally, they were also wearing matching camouflage vests.)

"This is the entire reason I came, ring toss," Freeman said.

Fallon scored an early ringer, but both he and Freeman struggled to aim and keep their balance while wearing the top-heavy helmets.

"There's no reason you should be good at this," Fallon reassured his guest.

"And there's every reason you should be good at this!" Freeman cracked mid-toss at his host – and Fallon was, winning with two rings to Freeman's one.

Also appearing on Friday night's episode was actress Megan Mullally, who is performing in "It's Only a Play" on Broadway.

Yusuf / Cat Stevens rounded out "Tonight" with a bluesy performance of "You Are My Sunshine" – yes, the lullaby – from his new album "Tell 'Em I'm Gone."
