Carrie Underwood: Tony Romo Did Me Wrong

Country star says she never considered "immortalizing" football star with a song

Carrie Underwood says don’t expect her to write any lovelorn songs about ex-boyfriend Tony Romo.

In short responses to a series of questions posed by Esquire Magazine, the former “Idol” and country music star shot down any ideas that she wrote “Cowboy Casanova” about the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.

“No. I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong,” she says. “I would never give him that much credit.”

Underwood, who last dated Romo two years ago, has said in the past that she realized he was not her type.

"Point blank, he is about football,” she said back in October of 2007, Usmagazine.com reported.

The sports star went on to date Jessica Simpson, who penned the tune "Back in My Old Boots" for Romo, Us points out.

Underwood told Esquire it was hard to find “normal celebrities” and “people who don’t want something from you.”

She also took a shot at “American Idol”judge Simon Cowell.

“Simon's obviously very smart,” she said. “But he's not the smartest person I know.”
