Trace Adkins Loses Home in Fire

Country singer Trace Adkins’ house in Brentwood, Tenn. burned down yesterday, The Tennessean reported.

Adkins was not home at the time of the fire, which had happened around 3:35 p.m. Fortunately two of his five children escaped unharmed, as well as other people who were watching after them.

According to Adkins’ wife Rhonda, the singer was en route to Alaska and doesn’t know what happened to the home. She told The Tennessean: “He’s gonna freak. He’s probably gonna think I’m dead.”

Rhonda Adkins came back from Atlanta yesterday afternoon and was three minutes away from her house until she saw smoke. A neighbor called Rhonda and told her the home was on fire.

“You can replace things, not people. I’m just glad that my children are safe,” said Rhonda.

The singer, who had appeared on "The Apprentice," has a new single, “Just Fishin,’” from his forthcoming album.
