Latin Music Stars Gather in Miami to Host Benefit Concert in Support of the Ecuador Quake Victims

In response to the devastating earthquake that struck Ecuador on April 16, Latino music stars and celebs are stepping up and saying "Ecuador Aqui Estoy"(Ecuador, Here I am) with an earthquake benefit concert this evening at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables.

Some of the artists lending their voices for this noble cause are, Riccardo Perotti, Franco de Vita, Chayanne, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Maluma, Carlos Vives, Willy Chirino, Amaury Gutierrez, Tommy Torres, Alexis Valdes, Jorge Villamizar, Donato Poveda, CNCO, Mariana Vega, Mirella Cesa with more expected to join this stellar line-up.

Miami resident and Ecuadorian singer Riccardo Perotti in conjunction with the Ecuadorian-American Chamber of Commerce were in charge of organizing the event with all proceeds being managed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

"It’s going to take at least a couple of years until this crisis is over and people can reconstruct their lives," said Perotti. "This is what this campaign is about, it’s a promise that we are going to be here for you."

The "Ecuador Aqui Estoy" campaign also includes an online and mobile donations platform where interested supporters anywhere in the world can make donations if unable to attend any of the "Ecuador Aqui Estoy" concerts.

The benefit concert takes place Wednesday, May 11th at 8 p.m. sharp at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables.
